NEW DELHI: Indian Oil has confirmed adequate fuel and LPG stocks nationwide, with smooth supply operations. The public is urged to stay calm and avoid unnecessary rush to ensure uninterrupted access for everyone.

"#IndianOil has ample fuel stocks across the country and our supply lines are operating smoothly. There is no need for panic buying—fuel and LPG is readily available at all our outlets. Help us serve you better by staying calm and avoiding unnecessary rush. This will keep our supply lines running seamlessly and ensure uninterrupted fuel access for all," Indian Oil Corp Ltd stated in their official handle X.

Similarly, Union Food Minister Pralhad Joshi has advised citizens to ignore rumours about the necessity to stockpile essential goods. He assured that the country possesses ample supplies of all necessary items. In a message on X, Joshi highlighted that misinformation is causing panic buying in some regions. He emphasised, "We have more than enough stock of everything required across the country."

Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, several states have taken precautionary measures. These include closing schools, enforcing blackouts in border districts, and cancelling leave for police and administrative personnel.

Meanwhile, India on Thursday reported thwarting attempts by Pakistan's military to target military installations in 15 cities across northern and western regions. The attacks involved missiles and drones, heightening fears of a broader conflict between the neighbouring countries.
