Guwahati: In a story that has emerged from Kerala's Kottayam district, a dog named 'Appu' put his own life at risk to save his owner's life.
The incident occurred in a village named Chamampathal. Appu was belonged to a man named Ajesh and his family. Recently, Ajesh went on his morning walk with his 5-year-old kid and the dog to get some milk.
All of a sudden, Appu had detected a live wire directly before them which was broken. Ajesh told media that Appu went past the cable which was lying across the road in its mouth and moved it to the side so that he could walk ahead without touching it.
This didn't end well for the dog. As it was a live wire, instantly the dog was received a shock and died right in front of his owner's eyes.
The KSEB (Kerala State Electricity Board) later turned off the power supply after which Appu's body was recovered from the spot.
Dogs are known for their loyalty and unconditional love towards their human. Stories like these are an example of that.
