The Movie Artist Association (MAA) election in the Tollywood industry is one of the very important parts of the industry as the election is done in a way just like the general elections. For many months there have been a lot of controversies and discussions including dramas for this MAA election and after a lot of issues, it is finally ended with results. According to reports and results of the MAA election, Vishnu Manchu along with many known celebrities as supporters took over the post of main officer bearer with a large number of votes.
The winners of the different posts in the election are Srikanth, Madhala Ravi in the Vishnu Panel and Hema won the elections as Vice President, Srikanth also as executive Vice President, Gautham Raju as the Joint Secretary, General Secretary in the Vishnu Panel as Raghu Babu, Treasurer in the Vishnu Panel as Siva Balaji. Jeevitha Rajsekhar who is a very popular actress as well as a reputed producer has lost in voting against Raghu Babu with a difference of just seven votes.
Some of the very popular Tollywood like Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Jr.NTR, Ravi Teja, Naga Chaitanya and Prabhas didn't vote for election. Not just popular actors but some of the well-known actresses also didn't cast their vote in the MAA elections such as Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, Hansika, Samantha, Anushka Shetty, Ileana and Trisha but among the actresses, some of them came far with the aim of casting their vote and those are Nithya Menen, Genelia and Poonam Kaur. Actress Genelia came from Mumbai to Hyderabad to cast her vote in the MAA election.
Vishnu Manchu became the youngest actor who won as president of the strongest film industry of Telegu. Manchu got the victory in the election by defeating Prakash Raj a very notable actor also known as Prakash Rai in Kannada. Vishnu is not just an actor by profession but also a successful businessman also involved in various sectors including education. The MAA election led to various differences among the relationships of many Tollywood actors and well-known personalities which also include the cold relationship between Mohan Babu and Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu is known widely for his blockbuster Telugu movies as "Collection King". Among the 381 votes of Vishnu 274 votes were polled by Prakash Raj who is an actor from Karnataka and is closely associated with Tollywood.
