Status of rehabilitation plan for J&K mule owners

New Delhi, July 2: The Supreme Court on Monday sought response from the Central and Jammu and Kashmir governments on the status of rehabilitation plan for people engaged in carrying pilgrims on horses and mules from Katra base to the hilltop Vaishno Devi shrine, an activity now barred. A bench of Justice Madan B. Lokur and Justice Deepak Gupta sought their response in four weeks and posted the matter for hearing in August. (IANS)
