10 injured in road mishap

DEMOW, March 10:  A road accident took place at Dehajan in Demow at NH-37 on Monday with five cars colliding against each other. In the accident, 10 people were injured while a school student and a boy were seriously injured. The local people took the injured to Demow Primary Hospital. Biswajit Chetia, a student of Class VI of Demow Sankardev Sishu Niketan sustained injuries in the head and Pranjal Sonowal of Lezai Barua gaon in Dibrugarh district broke his left leg. Both were referred to Dibrugarh for better treatment. A tanker without number plate suddenly stopped and a Maruti van with school students collided against the tanker from the back. Then a dumper hit the van, the dumper was hit by a Winger and filly a mini truck hit the Winger.  Traffic came to a standstill in Demow following the mishap.
