TANGLA, Aug 20: A delegation of central committee members of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) led by its chief advisor Dr. Samujjal Bhattacharya and comprising general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi, organizing secretary Praigyan Bhuyan along with Bipul Rabha and Bitopon Deka, executive members, visited the family members of former AASU leader Girish Chandra Bhattacharjya on Sunday.
Girish Chandra Bhattacharjya passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 59 in his residence here at Borjolah village of Tangla on August 16. The AASU leaders mourned the death of Bhattacharjya and interacted with the family members of the former AASU leader who played a torchbearer’s role during the Assam Movement.
