Alubari bridge to be complete this year

Itagar, May 18: The much awaited Alubari Bridge is slated for completion by the end of this year, facilitating a hassle-free journey to the headquarters of Lohit district which has dubious distinction of disruption of surface communication during summer. The pace of work has been satisfactory as out of 42 Pillars, 18 Pillars are already completed in casting slabs and remaining casting of 24 pillars are in full pace, official sources said here today. The multi–crore project initiated by Ministry of Road Transport & Highway (MoRTH) was slated in the year 2008 under the Prime Minister’s package.People of Lohit, Anjaw, Dibang Valley, and Lower Dibang Valley districts will heave a sigh of relief once the 12 km Chowkham–Digaru road and the bridge being built over the confluence of Kamlang, Lohit and Digaru Rivers, are completed by 2015 which is the deadline of the company.

Lohit DC Dr B M Mishra during his visit expressed much satisfaction over the way the vayuga Company is expediting the pace of work despite all odds.Mishra is attaching priority for early completion of bridge and the road (tiol Highway Double Lane Specification) to link the most strategically important and secluded border districts of eastern most India is looking forward to Tezu as one of the most well connected town in Aruchal as Advance Landing Ground (ALG), boosting air connectivity too is completing by January 2016.
