DICHANGMUKH, Feb 1: Alleging anomalies in implementation of various schemes at Dichang Dhaiali Gaon Panchayat, the All Tai Ahom Students’ Union today submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Sibsagar. In the memorandum, the union alleged anomalies particularly in implementation of tiol Food Security Act, irregular supply of kerosene to the BPL families, incompletion of projects under MNREGA scheme, anomalies in IAY scheme etc. The union also alleged that most of the panchayat representatives are corrupt and urged the deputy commissioner to take action against the corrupt representatives. However, refuting the charges leveled by the ATASU, panchayat president Arun Bharali said, “The allegations are baseless. All three projects under MNREGA have completed, but the fund has not yet been released. On the other hand, those who have BPL certificate are only entitled to IAY house. The allegations are not true.”
