Aruchal has abundant scopes for body building'

ITAGAR, Dec 11: “This Himalayan land of Aruchal Pradesh has been in my heart for years and my landing here fulfils my long cherished dream,” said Indian Railways A Bobby Singh, three times Mr World and 11 times Mr India Champion.

“I feel like achieving something beyond by expression,” he said to leave 3rd edition of Mr Aruchal Body Building Championship president Abrham K Techi, secretary Issac Debbarma, media advisor Pradeep Kumar and a host of body builders, assembled to receive him at helipad here, dumbfounded.

“Aruchal surfaced in bodybuilding are few years ago but the potential of Aruchalees was known to us but has been undoubtedly proved, particularly at the efforts of Techi and Debbarma and that is what prompted me to come to here meet Aruchalees and know more about them,” Singh said without mincing any words.

Singh referred to cop Lisu Konia, who had won Eastern India Body Building Championship at Imphal to earn a gold medal for unique body display in 70-kg category after being crowned Mr Aruchal in 2nd edition in 2014.

Chief Minister bam Tuki welcomed India’s pride Singh after he landed here from Skyone helicopter. In fact, the CM along with and APCC president Padi Richo flew from Guwahati in the same helicopter together while the pilots said that they were thrilled to flew Mr World in the chopper.

Singh arrived here to pose as a guest invitee during the Mr Aruchal Body Building Championship scheduled at Siddhartha Hall, Itagar tomorrow with free entry for one and all, particularly to witness women’s section (open weight category in sports physique) & aerobic display to prove ‘hum kisise kum hin’ spirit.

However, South East Asia Body Building & Fitness Federation & Indian Body Builders Federation (IBBF) general secretary Chetan M Pathare, schedule to attend the event,  could not come because of some uvoidable circumstance, Debbarma informed.
