ITAGAR, Oct 2: Kurung Kumey Zilla Parishad Chairperson Sangha Tagik has alleged improper utilization of BADP schemes in the district by the Block Development Officer (BDO). The ZPC alleged that the selection of schemes under BADP for the year 2016-17 in respect of Parsi Parlo Damin and Sarli blocks have not been done in accordance with the guidelines and norms and have not considered the schemes as proposed by the PRI members of the respective blocks. Under section 5.9 of modified BADP guideline 2015, it is clearly stated that any selection of schemes under BADP should be done after due consultation with the concerned MP, MLA, PRI leaders and other community agency, Tagik said in a statement here. Informing that legal notice has been already served to the secretary (Planning) government, DC and BDOs for flagrant violation of the existing guidelines, the statement further alleged that the BDO had also misused crores of money under the BADP fund of 2014-15 and 2015-16 without involvement and participation of PRI leaders.
