GAURISAGAR, February,3 : Gaurisagar Press Guild has vehemently condemned the assault on a female jourlist, Mridusmita Bhuyn, her camer person Tapan Das by two police officers of Latasil Police Station recently.
On Monday, the members of Gaurisagar Press Guild and other local organizations like AJYCP, Brihattar Asomiya Yuva Manch Gaurisagar Anchalik Samiti, BJP Gaurisagar Mondal Committee, Gaurisagar Anuhuchita Mahila Samiti, Singkhap Mahila Samiti, Gaurisagar and Gaurisagar Bibasayee Santah staged a dhar in front of Gaurisagar BDO Office and shouted slogans against frequent police atrocities on scribes. Later a memorandum was submitted to the Governor of Assam through BDO Gaurisagar demanding immediately arrest of the accused police officers Chidanonda Borah and Samsuddin Ahmed.
