Golaghat , July 3: With a view to encourage meritorious students from greater rural area of Jamuguri in Golaghat, an initiative was taken by Jamuguri Press Club under which a special felicitation and award ceremony was held at Jamuguri in Golaghat on Sunday. Jamuguri Press Club for the second year organized this programme where two students residing under Jamuguri PS area and who had secured highest marks in the HSLC and HS fil examitions, were conferred with Bir Birochan Chutia and Suren Saikia Memorial Educatiol Awards. On Sunday a meeting was held on the occasion which was presided over by the president of Golaghat District Jourlist Association, Apurba Ballav Goswami. In the programme, renowned career consultant and Associate Professor from Girijanda Choudhry Institute, Guwahati attended as chief guest and he interacted with the students of the area and gave important tips on career building .
All the heads of schools located under Jamuguri PS area and meritorious students from those schools were felicitated . In the programme, the Bir Birochan Chutia Educatiol Award was conferred to Gauranga Kishor Gogoi who secured highest marks in the HSLC examition and Suren Saikia Memorial Educatiol Award was conferred to Mousum Dutta for securing highest marks in the HS fil exam.
