BARPETA, Mar 2: Ashwani Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta received the Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration in the category of “New Initiative/an Innovative Step of Efficient and Transparent Execution of Schemes/Programmes of State/Centre for the year 2016. It was awarded in appreciation of his outstanding performance for implementing the e-Secretariat Pass System in the Assam Secretariat, when he was Joint Secretary in Secretariat Administration Department of Assam Secretariat. The award was handed over by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi during a function held at the Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati on February 29 in the presence of M G V K Bhanu, Additiol Chief Secretary, Assam and other dignitaries and senior officials of the state government.
