Bijni man goes missing in Bengaluru

Bongaigaon, December 2: A person from Assam has been missing since the last 27 days from Bengaluru.  His family does not know whether he has been kidpped or whether he is dead or alive.

The missing person is rayan Sarkar (30), son of Bijay Sarkar, a resident of Sri Durga Colony of Ward No 4 of Bijni town of Chirang district.  Bijay Sarkar said that rayan went to Kolkata on  October 27 with his relatives Nityanda Ray, Ganesh Sarkar, Archa Ray and Laxman Ray. “He stayed in Kolkata for two days and after that went to Bengaluru with Ganesh Sarkar and Nityada Ray. Actually he went there for treatment purpose. In Bengaluru, they stayed in Balaji Hotel in the Whitefield area. Another relative med Kamal Sarkar from Kolkata, who went to Bangalore few days ago, also stayed with them. They visited doctors there. On the evening of November 6, rayan went out from hotel for evening walk with Kamal and Nityanda. Since then he is missing. As Kamal told us, during the evening walk rayan said that he was going back to the hotel. But when they returned to the hotel, they did not find him.  They lodged an FIR in Kadugodi Police Station in this regard (FIR NO—0287/2015) on November 9. But police have failed to find him,” said Sarkar.

rayan is a carpenter by profession and he has two daughters med Susmita Sarkar (8) and Kuwen Sarkar (1). “We do not know where he has gone. We do not know if he has been kidpped or killed. He is the bread earner of the family.  Hope the police will find him soon.
