Guwahati, February 27: The foundation day of Shree Gauhati Gaushala was celebrated on February 23 at its Athgaon compound in presence of its trustees, members and prominent persolities of the city.
Ram Gopal Harlalka, president of the premier institution hoisted the flag followed by Gau Pujan, a press release said.
After his welcome address and lighting of the lamp, the oldest employee of Gaushala was felicitated by Harlalka, RP Kejriwal, trustee and Dindayal Siotia, secretary of Gaushala.
Ratan Goenka, grandson of late Lalchand Goenka, one of the land donors of Gaushala was felicitated by the president.
Jai Prakash Goenka, vice president of Gaushala, apprised the gathering about the history of Gaushala and the future plans and schemes undertaken by it. In his deliberations, he thanked all the members, donors and well wishers of Gaushala for their cooperation and services rendered. He also said that the centery celebrations of this premier institution will be celebrated in a grand way during the year.
Ravi Ajitsaria, vice president, conducted the anchoring and Ajay agarwal, joint secretary gave the vote of thanks.
