Golaghat , May 7: A commemoration meeting was held on Saturday at Marangi LP School in Golaghat. The meeting was held to commemorate the contribution of a teacher Jeri Begum who took initiative to establish a girl’s school in the greater Marangi region. Under her initiative, Marangi Girls’ School was established. In the meeting, several social activists, educationists and local people took part. Jeri Begum passed away on April 13 at the age of 84.
