Dibrugarh, April 25: The buzz of IPL cricket fever hitting across the country, has also tinkled the minds of the youths here as reports of alleged betting games in certain areas of the town are on the rise amongst a few teege cricket lovers. The unethical inclition on laying a bet in a game of cricket within the adolescent circles who bet on their favorite team for earning a few thousand rupees has lead them astray. As serious concerns are being raised to put a check on the immoral practices of betting, the duty of the parents to ensure the same becomes pertinent. District and police administration need to keep vigil on the possible rise of illegal match gambling in youths and create awareness towards putting a check on the negative aspects of cricket betting. The institutions must too be involved to educate the young generation on the legal aspects of unprincipled betting practices and the concurrent pelty for practicing the same.
