CPI decides to withdraw support from Tiwa Jatiya Eaikya

MORIGAON, March 11: The Communist Party of India (CPI), Morigaon unit has decided not to continue its alliance with the Tiwa Jatiya Eaikya Monch in the district.

At a press meet on Friday, CPI senior leader and former MLA Munin Mahanta said that the Tiwa Jatiya Eaikya Mancha was formed to fight against the Congress and the BJP in the district. But the party did not discuss anything with the CPI and nomited their candidate in the district. Owing to the decision of the Tiwa Jatiya Eaikya Monch, CPI, Morigaon unit has decided to withdraw their support from the Tiwa Jatiya Eaikya Moncha. Mahanta also said that the Communist Party of India (CPI) would fight alone in the TAC election. On the other hand the party will organize Jagagran Yatra on March 15, March 16 and March 17 in 37 centres of the district. The yatra will start from Pani –Baghar under Manipur GP of the district. The press meet was organized by Tapan Deka, assistant general secretary, CPI, Morigaon.
