Mumbai, January 28: Dabang Mumbai defender Matthew Swann was on Wednesday ruled out of the ongoing Hero Hockey India League (HIL) due to a calf injury. Australian Swann has returned home for the treatment of his injured calf, which has been bothering him for the last five months. The 25–year–old, who was picked by the newly–formed outfit for $78,000, didn’t play a single game in the league. “Disappointing that my HHIL has ended before it begun after an unfortute injury. Will be following @DabangMumbai closely.! Good luck boys.!,” Swann, who was awarded the 2011 Intertiol Hockey Federation (FIH) Young Player of the Year award, wrote on Twitter. IANS
