DIBRUGARH, MAY 2: The written examition for the appointment of fourth grade employees in Assam Medical College and Hospital on May 3, has been deferred to an unspecified date due to uvoidable reason.
More than 200 casual employees staged a dhar in front of the Principal building on April 30 demanding inclusion of their mes in the candidate’s list. They also alleged mass irregularities in selection process of candidates and sought the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) intervention. Deputy Commissioner MS Manivann held a meeting with Principal and Superintendent of AMCH later and asked them to follow the procedure properly. A new selection committee will be instituted. One Additiol Deputy Commissioner (ADC) will be inducted in the new committee as a nominee of the DC.
“I believe the new committee will maintain the selection procedure strictly and will be transparent,” the DC asserted.
