GUWAHATI, March 6: G C Sikder, General Mager (In-charge) has taken over the charge of Unit head of the Bongaigaon Refinery, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd recently. Sikder joined the Corporation in January, 1988 and started his professiol career as Mechanical Engineer at Mathura Refinery.
Sikder possesses a distinguished academic career and has done his B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) from tiol Institute of Technology, Durgapur in 1986, Post graduate Diploma in Magement (Fince) from Magement Development Institute, Gurgaon in 1997 and MBA in Operations Magement from Sikkim Manipal University in 2012 as well as acquired Life Fellow from Indian Institute of Plant Engineers in 2009. Sikder has more than 29 years of rich and diverse experience in Indian Oil Corporation and worked at Mathura Refinery, Barauni Refinery, Refinery Head Quarter, Panipat Refinery and Paradip Refinery in various positions as well as handled multi-discipliry functions such as Planning, Project Implementation, Operations & Maintence of refinery etc..
Prior to General Mager (In-Charge), Sikder was working as General Mager (Technical) in Bongaigaon Refinery since April 2015. This was stated in a press release.
