Gajraj Corps' new GOC reviews security scerio in Lower Assam

GUWAHATI, Nov 19: After assuming the command of General Officer Commanding Gajraj Corps, Lt Gen Devraj Anbu made his maiden visit to Rangiya based Red Horns Division on November 18-19 to review the overall security situation prevailing in Lower Assam and also to get a firsthand feel of the ongoing operations against the terrorist groups.

On his arrival at Rangiya, the General Officer was received by Maj Gen CP Mohanty, the General Officer Commanding of the Division. He was given a detailed briefing on the ongoing counter insurgency/ counter terrorism operations in Lower Assam, with a specific update on the current operations being undertaken against NDFB (S) post December 23, 2014 violence.

The General Officer expressed his satisfaction on the progress of operations and also appreciated the efforts made by the formation to counter the rapidly changing situation in the region. General Officer Commanding Gajraj Corps was happy with the population friendly approach and empathy displayed by the Army in conduct of the operations.
