Goalpara Police cracks murder mystery

Goalpara, Feb 4: Goalpara Police on Saturday successfully solved a murder mystery of a female teacher and apprehended the accused. The police, intercepting the phone calls of the suspected Hasen Ali, apprehended him from his Kharmuza Madhyapara village residence under the Boguan police station. The female teacher Monjuara Khatun (23) worked in a private academy near her residence at Dhuptola village, Rakhyashini under the Mornoi police station. On January 25 she went missing. The following day, her body was recovered from a garden at Kharmuja village in West Goalpara owned by former MLA SK Shah Alom. Her family later identified her body at Goalpara Civil Hospital morgue.

 Till then a high-level police team was investigating the matter. On Saturday prime accused Hasen Ali was caught. “We have recovered the voter ID of the deceased teacher from Hasen Ali’s house and also seized some other objectioble things related to the matter,” said Superintendent of Police Amitava Sinha. The police are also checking the involvement of a third person. This is the second abduction and murder case successfully solved by the Goalpara Police within a month.
