Golaghat DC discusses about health of tea garden labourers

GOLAGHAT, June 22: The Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, Varli Deka , while expressing concern over the health of pregnt women in the tea gardens, appealed for regular check-up of pregnt women. In this regard a discussion was held in the conference hall of DC office here on Wednesday with tea garden owners along with medical officers. In the presence of District Development Commissioner Khanidra Choudhary and Joint Director of Health Services, Golaghat, Dr. Syamanta Sarma, the Deputy Commissioner discussed how control diseases like malaria, Japanese Encephalitis and diarhoea in tea garden areas.
