Golaghat, Feb 11: Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi, who was on a two-day visit to Golaghat, visited the historical Athkhelia amghar and offered his prayers on Sunday. The Governor also interacted with the magement of Athkhelia amghar, local people and students who had gathered there to greet him. The Governor also visited the Kamarbandha Ali Block Primary Health Centre and inspected the premises. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra and Superintendent of Police Mabendra Dev Ray. The Governor instructed the Deputy Commissioner to ensure that proper cleanliness and hygiene was maintained in all the health institutions in the district.
Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi attended the 87th convention of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha at Dergaon on Saturday after which he held meetings with government officials, leading citizens, social workers, representatives of NGOs and students bodies and also interacted with the local media. He was accompanied by ADC to Governor, SK Mani, Special Officer to Governor, Gitartha Baruah and others on his visit to the district.
