If you're a fan of Kumar Sanu, you've probably heard the famous song Humko Sirf Tumse Pyaar Hai. It was altered by a Madhya Pradesh traffic cop when he pulled over an e-rickshaw driver for disregarding fundamental safety regulations.
In order to discipline the e-rickshaw driver for driving his vehicle without a sufficient windscreen, Bhagwat Prasad Pandey twisted the song's lyrics.
“Chacha, sheesha kyun nahi laga? Ek maah mein teen baar hum, tumko yeh bataa chuke hain hum,” he sang, reminding the driver - whom he referred to as "Chacha" - that this was not the first time he had been cautioned about the missing glass.
Sitting behind a loosely draped plastic sheet in absence of the vehicle's appropriate windscreen, the e-rickshaw driver acknowledged the repeated warnings.
With more than eight lakh views to date, Pandey's Instagram post including a video showing his compassionate approach to law enforcement has gone viral.
The internet gave the officer a lot of praise for his clear communication style and, of course, his lovely voice.
