Dibrugarh, April 20: Normal life of people in the entire district has been badly affected due to intermittent rainfall and gloomy weather. The persistent damp weather conditions have brought severe tribulations for the local residents. The drenched climate has miserably affected the routine life of the people with showers casting murky shadows of apathy on everyday life. The incessant rainfall as predicted if continues for days may inundate most parts of the region. Meanwhile, all low-lying areas have been submerged and this has made life miserable, especially for the village and slum dwellers. The pumpkin-growing areas at Kolakhuwa, Khowang and other parts of the district are being deluged causing severe loss to the farmers who are forced to sale their produce at low prices.
