Juvenile Home iugurated

SHILLONG, Dec 12: The Chief Justice, High Court of Meghalaya, Justice Uma th Singh, today iugurated the Juvenile Home at Mawdiangdiang, New Shillong, in the presence of Justice T.N.K Singh, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya and Justice S.R Sen, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya & Chairman, Juvenile Justice Committee, Meghalaya. The Juvenile Home is built on a 3 acres plot allotted by the Meghalaya Urban Development Authority (MUDA) to the Social Welfare Department, Meghalaya for the purpose. The project is constructed in line with the provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection) Act 2000 and the same received Administrative Approval for an amount of Rs.11 crore. The programme was attended by T Dkhar, Commissioner & Secretary, Social Welfare, HM Shangpliang, Director, Social Welfare and other dignitaries including members of different Juvenile Justice Boards.
