M’laya MP holds DDCMC meeting at Ampati

SHILLONG, Oct 5: On his maiden visit to Ampati as Member of Parliament (MP) and District Development Coordition & Monitoring Committee (DDCMC) Chairman Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday held a meeting with district line departments at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall.

During the meeting Sangma said that the conference was being held to monitor and ensure that all centrally sponsored schemes were being implemented earnestly. The Cetre has directed the DDCMC to hold a meeting once every quarter preferably on the first week of the month the MP informed and assured that he would try to make at the least twice visits a quarter. Emphasizing on making field visits to get firsthand accounts of the status of implemented schemes and those under process of implementation Sangma encouraged proactive monitoring.

During the meeting South West Garo Hills district line departments made power point presentations of schemes and projects implemented by their respective departments. Amongst others who attended the meeting were Deputy Commissioner in charge and ADC Hazel D B Sangma, District Medical & Health Officer Dr Ko Sangma, Zizak C&RD Block Development Reuben Momin and Betasing C&RD Block Development Officer Alberth G Momin.
