MARGHERITA, November 15: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Sunday iugurated the Multi-discipliry Skill Development Centre, Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Assam at Block Joya gar, Margherita.
State Forest and Environment Minister Etuwa Munda, Parliamentary Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, RP Singh, former Dibrugarh MP Paban Singh Ghatowar, Margherita Constituency MLA Pradyut Bordoloi, Commissioner of Industries and Commerce Department, Swapnil Barua and Tinsukia Deputy Commissioner Puru Gupta were present.
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that the Congress was distributing thread and blankets among people not for political gain but for development. He said that the Opposition parties were criticizing his government for indulging in alleged vote-bank politics by distributing thread and blankets but this, he added, would not deter his government for taking developmental measures.
After the iuguration of the Multi-discipliry Skill Development Centre, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi moved towards Margherita Congress Bhavan and there he unveiled the statue of freedom fighter Veer Birsa Munda.
