Itagar, April 8: The People’s Party of Aruchal (PPA) has sought a timely intervention and recommendation of the state Governor to get the alleged tiol Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) scandal as claimed by former minister Kalikho Pul investigated by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). “Since the scale of fiscal mismagement is very high in the state as per the media reports, the Governor should recommend to the Govt. of India for a full-fledged CBI enquiry into the entire gamut of issues,” said party president Kahfa Beniga in a party meeting on fiscal mismagement in the state.

“It is a matter of serious concern that the Govt. of Aruchal, who allocates and disburses the fund received from the Govt. of India to various districts, comes out with the vague reply that the information on NDRF Fund have to be collected from the various districts!” he added.

Saying that the Governor of galand P B Acharya had instituted enquiry against the Department of Irrigation, on receipt of serious charges of misappropriation, the PPA president urged the Aruchal Governor to follow suit.
