KOKRAJHAR, June 26: BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary on Sunday iugurated the newly-completed Baokhungri-Bamwngaon irrigation project near the River Gaurang in Bamwngaon in presence of deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary, Executive Member of Irrigation, BTC, Rajib Brahma and EM-Doneswar Goyary. Sources said the new irrigation project was built under the AIVP scheme. The cost of the scheme was Rs 5 crore. The local people expressed their happiness over the completion of irrigation project saying that it would cater to the need of the farmers in the area.
