GAON (HAIBORGAON), Feb 12: Former ULFA leader Mril Hazarika on Sunday appealed to the C-in C of ULFA (Ind), Paresh Axom to continue the armed fight against India and not to come to the peace process.

He, in front of electronic media here, said that the pro-talk group of the organization which had already given up arms, had allegedly failed to come to a permanent solution of the issues due to negligence of the Union Government and because of such negligence of the government, the pro-talk group was completely helpless and losing faith in the mechanism of the Central Government. He stated that the government unnecessarily delayed the process like the NSCN (IM). In such a suffocated circumstance if Paresh Barua joined the so-called peace process, the years-long struggle for the interest of Assam and the Assamese would prove futile.  Hence, for the greater interest of Assam and the security of its indigenous people, Paresh Axom should continue his armed fight, said Hazarika.

Interestingly, former ULFA cadres of the entire State organized a conclave at Nehrubali field in gaon town from February 11. On Sunday during the closing session, the former cadres of the organization formed a democratic platform and also prepared its ground rules and models so that the new platform could make the new generation aware about work culture.
