Poll fever grips Kynshi

NONGSTOIN, Dec 5: Election fever gripped the people of Kynshi on Monday when public meetings by four candidates contesting the Pariong-Mawthadraishan seat were held at Kynshi market. The meeting started with the BJP party candidate Thunder Warjri along with D. Rymnong BJP State member, B. Kyndiah President Mahila took the centre stage. According to Thunder Warjri, there is an advantage now since the BJP is ruling at the Centre and the party is keen to provide packages for the development of the area. Jambor Warjri, UDP candidate from Mawthadraishan, slammed Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit saying that he has tried to bring the law which is against the custom of the Khasi people like encouraging the MUDA law.  Blan Warjri, HSPDP candidate, stressed on the implementation of Para 12A and said this is the best way that can protect the tribal people.
