Protest over burning of HSLC answer scripts

MAHMORA, March 5: The protest over the incident of burning of answer scripts of the HSLC exam conducted by the SEBA in Jorhat yet to be over. Along with the rest of the state, the activists of AJYCP’s Charaideo district committee today burnt the effigy of Education Minister Sarat Borkotoky for ‘lack of seriousness with the future of the students’ where answer scripts of the HSLC examitions, 2016 caught fire in Jorhat on Thursday night.  

In a shocking incident, the HSLC examition papers were reduced to ashes in Jorhat. The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) clears its stand aftermath the sensatiol incident in which HSLC examition answer scripts were reduced to ashes  amidst allegations of its apathy. The SEBA, in a latest disclosure said 8225 answer scripts were reduced to ashes contrary to reports of 65000 answer scripts being destroyed in the incident. Adding to this, SEBA officials stated that 45000 answer scripts were sent to the Sankardev Semiry via post. The SEBA Chairman made a public apology over the matter after vehement protests were launched against SEBA alleging slackness in the matter.
