TINSUKIA, Feb 7: State Panchayat, Rural Development and Power Minister Rakibul Hussain on Sunday slammed the Central Government for not releasing fund to implement development scheme meant of the poor.
Speaking at the iugural function of the Tinsukia indoor stadium at pukhuri, Hussain said that many welfare programmes for poor undertaken by the State Government have suffered due to the non-release of its share by the Centre.
The Tinsukia Indoor Stadium was iugurated by Minister Rakibul Hussain on Sunday here in the presence of former union minister Pawan Singh Ghatowar.
The project constructed by Tinsukia Development Authority and completed at a cost of Rs. 2.5 core.
The iugural function was presided over by Prab Boruah, chairman of Tinsukia Development Authority. Local MLA Rajendra Prasad Singh and Chabua MLA Raju Sahu were also present at the iugural function.
