GAON, February27: AIUDF chief Maula Badaruddin Ajmal alleged on Saturday in gaon while addressing a public rally held at gaon Nehrubali that minister Rakibul Hussain’s matriculation certificate was fake.

Taking potshots at Hussain, Ajmal said that Hussain’s political future appeared dark and hence he wanted to change his constituency from Samuguri to Rupahihat. He also alleged that Hussain never wanted another powerful leader to emerge from the district for which he always restrained others in the district. He further alleged that Hussain had links with BJP and a good understanding with MP Rajen Gohain. “Rakibul will be removed this time from Samuguri by any means,” Ajmal further added.

Referring to the Congress’ slogan ‘ of ‘15 years of faith and 15 years of development’,  Ajmal stated that it was 15 years of faith but 55 years of deceit and 55 years of demolition. Slamming the BJP, Ajmal said that BJP would not be a factor in Assam and so the real battle would be between AIUDF and Congress in the assembly polls. “No one can form government in Assam alone, rather those who want to form government they must take support from AIUDF,” said Ajmal.

On the other hand, soon after Badaruddin’s rally, minister Rakibul Hussain addressed a press conference held at gaon Circuit House and challenged Badaruddin Ajmal to prove what he had said against him and also take lawful action against him. “If he cannot prove it then I will request the authority for enquiry, if possible maybe CBI enquiry, and if I am found guilty, the authority can punish me as per law. But if he cannot prove the allegations then I will lodge a crimil case in court,” Hussain added.

Hussain, right after the press conference, lodged an FIR in gaon Sadar police station in the evening.
