Rangke Teron High School celebrates silver jubilee

Donkamokam, Jan 9: Rangke Teron High School of Mugasong in West Karbi Anglong district, which was established in 1991, celebrated 25 years of its existence with a two-day programme at its school premises, which concluded on Saturday. On the concluding day Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang, who was also the president of the reception committee, attended as chief guest.  Addressing the gathering, CEM lauded the sacrifices of the people who contributed to establishing this educatiol institution in the area. “I salute Rangke Teron, former SGB of Mugasong and others who sacrificed for greater interest of the society in establishing the school,” he said. “Education is utmost necessary in the present day world. Let us built a good civilized society,” he added. Earlier, the CEM laid the foundation stone of the Rangke Teron memorial gate in front of the school.  A day before the silver jubilee flag was unfurled by SGB and also working president of the reception committee, Giridhar Teron, and the souvenir was released by Principal of Tumpreng HS, Khiteswar Chutia.
