DIBRUGARH, May 30: Eleven students of Salt Brook Academy secured ranks in the list of top 10 successful students in Science, Arts and Commerce stream of HSSLC this year, the result of which was declared on Saturday
Jubilation swayed in Salt Brook Academy here following four of their students in Science stream, six in Arts stream and one in Commerce stream being declared rank holders in the HSSLC examition.
Salt Brook Academy recorded pass percentage of 99.61 per cent in Science stream. Among the 515 students who appeared for the exam, 513 passed, 510 in the first division and three in the second division. A total of 420 students were star holders.
In Arts stream, 191 sat for the exam and 184 passed. First division holders were 157, second division holders 25 and third division holders were two. Star holders were 420. The pass percentage was 96.34 per cent. Of the 164 students who appeared for HSSLC in the Commerce stream, 152 passed; the pass percentage was 92.64 per cent. Among the successful candidates, 77 got first division, 56 second division and 19 third division. Thirty-four students were star holders
In Science stream, Kaushik Ranjan Hazarika was placed second among the top 10 positions after scoring 488 while Anda Bikash Dutta, vojit Dutta and Pingal Prabash th were placed in 10th position jointly.

Son of Hirannya Hazarika, Principal, BVFCL, mrup and school teacher Janti Gogoi Hazarika, Kaushik said that he was interested to become a mobile engineer. He credited his success to his teachers, family, friends and well wishers. He expected to do well but never thought in terms of rank or position.
In Arts stream, Jyoti Sonowal was placed second by securing 492 marks while Subasho Kashyap, Bidisha Duwara, mrata Dutta, Annesha Gogoi and Devasmita Gogoi were ranked third, fourth, sixth, eighth and ninth having scored 469, 468,466, 465 and 463 respectively.
Pankhi Hazarika of Commerce stream of Salt Brook Academy was placed 10th having scored 455 marks.
Salt Brook Academy, dream child of Aswaini Duara and Late Imul Haque, was established in 1995 with a vision to impart quality education under strict academic discipline and environment. The Academy has been sustaining the motto since its inception and till this year, a total of 76 students were placed in different ranks among the top 10 positions in various streams. In 2014, the students of the Academy had maintained the tradition and had secured five positions in science and three in Arts.
