SBI organises fincial literacy camp

GUWAHATI, March 17: State Bank of India, organized a Fincial Literacy Camp cum Credit

Awareness Programme today at Maniari Tiniali, Mirza. Dr. M.G. Vaidyan, Dy. Maging Director (Retail & Strategy), State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai was present in the camp as Chief Guest. More than 2000 people attended the camp from Mirza and nearby villages. In his speech, Vaidyan informed that State Bank of India is committed to provide loans to all eligible farmers under Kisan Credit Card Scheme.

Dr J Balaji, IAS, Deputy Commission, Kampur( Rural ), Assam was also present in the camp as Special Guest. Other dignitaries who were present in the programme were Sanjay Kumar Magoo, Chief General Mager, SBI, NE Circle and M.A. Sahu, General Mager (Network-I), SBI, NE Circle.

Bank loans amounting to Rs 10 crores were released to the borrowers by the Deputy Maging Director and other officials present in the function. The loans included 23 tractors, 5 trucks, 50 PMEGP beneficiaries, loans for the newly launched OLA taxis, 2 IOCL Petrol pumps etc. This was stated in a press release.
