NONGSTOIN Sept 23: Former Chief Minister Dr. Donkupar Roy iugurated the School Building of Raidmynsaw UP School at Langpih here on Friday.
The school building was constructed under the Chief Minister’s Special Rural Development Fund (CMSRDF) during the year 2008-09 at an amount of Rs 5. Lakh.
The function was chaired by H. Samakha Sirdar of Hima Raidmynsaw in the presence of the School Maging Committee, Rambrai Legislator K.P. Pangniang as the Guest of Honour, Titos Chyne MLA Sohra among others. Addressing the gathering former Chief Minister and also the leader of the opposition Dr. Donkupar Roy said that since he became a public representatives he always want to bring various developmental activities to the villages bordering Assam.
Meanwhile P. Nongphud Secretary of the Hima handed over the memorandum to the former Chief Minister seeking up gradation of the UP school to the Higher Secondary level.
