DEMOW, June 11: In Sivasagar district at Demow Desang River on Saturday afternoon, a Class VIII student jumped into the Desang River. According to sources, Nikita Chauhan, a student of Class VIII of Desang Rajabari Middle English School and daughter of Bijoy Chauhan, a resident of Desang Rajabari, jumped from the Rail Bridge into the Desang River on Saturday afternoon. Due to the high current of the river the people suspect that the girl may have died. The family members of the girl informed Demow Police regarding the incident and after that the Demow Police reached the incident area and started searching for the girl. Till the filling of this report, the girl had not been found.
