SHILLONG, May 18: The local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, Stephanson Mukhim iugurated the Block Level Science and Environment Fair of Amlarem C&RD Block on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mukhim expressed great satisfaction at the level of participation shown by the schools and hoped that science as a subject remains central to the academic pursuits of school children.
Mukhim cited the examples of inventions that have brought about a change for the local population and encouraged the young children to take up agricultural science to help improve the agrarian economy of the War Jaintia region.
