MARGHERITA, August 12: Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP) workers of Marghreita are worried about the upcoming 2016 Assembly elections.
More than 20 senior BJP leaders of Margherita have applied for the party ticket to contest from the Margherita constituency. Party sources said that Bhaskar Sharma, noted social worker of Margherita is among the top contenders for the party ticket. Sharma, who hails Jagun under Margherita constituency, has been working for the welfare and uplift of the society and there are more than 500 youths engaged in his business enterprise.
Most people of Margherita are disappointed with present MLA Pradyut Bordoloi who allegedly has done precious little for the development of the constituency and for providing employment to unemployed youths of the constituency.
Bhaskar Sharma, said BJP sources, is a heavyweight candidate who could defeat Pradyut Bordoloi in the 2016 polls.
