MORIGAON, Feb 7: Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) presented the Paradarshi Padadhikar Award to senior jourlist as well as the staff reporter of an Assamese daily, Ajit Sarma for this year for uninterruptedly sticking to the literary body by editing 60 books since 1987 at the Burhidhing-Bordumasa conference of AXX. AXX newly-elected president Dr Paramanda Rajbongshi and chief secretary Padum Rajkhowa presented the literary award to Ajit Sarma at the Burhidihing-Bordumasa conference of AXX. Ajit Sarma is the first jourlist to receive the literary award for creative writing in the district. On the other hand, he was first introduced to the AXX in the 1987 conference as a delegate of the district committee. He was the founder publicity secretary of the district literary body. Besides, he is also associated with more than 20 social-cultural organizations of the district.
