SHILLONG, Feb 21: UDP MDC from Nongkrem constituency H S Shylla today moved a no-confidence motion (NC) against the People Democratic Forum (PDF) Executive Committee (EC) led by Chief Executive Member (CEM) P N Syiem.
The no-confidence motion was admitted by KHADC Chairperson LG Nongsiej on the second day of the council’s budget session and will be taken up on Thursday.
The motion was supported by eight members which included Manstduty Nongrem, P T Sawkmie, J Tynsong, Lamphrang Blah, Kimfa Marbaniang D Wanlang all belonging to the Congress party and Pynshngain Sing Syiem suspended MDC from HSPDP.
Quoting the rules, Nongsiej said, “Leave is granted to the motion. The motion will be place before the floor of the House tomorrow.”
It may be noted that the KHADC session has been extended till February 23.
