Six houses gutted at Hapoli

Itagar, Oct 11: A devastating fire that broke out in the wee hours on Tuesday engulfed six houses and partially damaged two RCC buildings at Paraline in Hapoli under Lower Subansiri district, police said today. The fire broke out at around 5 AM and was doused by the fire services with the help of the locals within one hour. However, no properties could be retrieved as the fire started at the house located in the entrance of the tightly packed colony.  Although there was no casualties, livestock such as pigs and fowls could not rescued leaving more than 10 pigs charred to death.  Immediate relief of Rs 3800 was handed over to all the victims by CO Olak Apang on behalf of the district administration on the spot, the report added.
