Sri Shyam Falgun Mahotsav to be celebrated from March 18

Dibrugarh, March 16: The auspicious event of Sri Shyam Falgun Mahotsav will be celebrated from March 18- March 20, under the aegis of Sri Shyam Seva Samiti (SSS)   

The iugural day of the celebrations, which will begin with an attractive procession Sri Shyam Shobha Yatra, will be taken out from Marwari Hindi High School premises, later after passing through the Mancotta Road, RKB Path, HS Road, Cole Road, and Station Station, will culmite at the Marwari School premises. The karmacharis and youths adorned in their traditiol attires, while partaking in the procession would carry religious flags called Nisan, as a symbolism of the religious festival.

Next day, the Shobha Yatra will make its way to the sacred temple of Sri Shyam Kalpabriksh, which is situated at Panitola, where bhajans will be performed by local artistes, to celebrate the Fagun Utsav with Shyam Ji.  The organizers even make special arrangements for free bus services for the devotees, who want to visit the Shyam Kalpabriksh temple at Panitola.

On March 20, the Falgun Utsav will wind up with the ‘Prabhat Feri’ to be taken out from 10 am to 4 pm, after which Akhand Amrit Prasad will be distributed among the devotees.  Every year devotees from different parts of the country visit the Sri Shyam temple here at Panitola to celebrate Sri Shyam Falgun Utsav.
