TE driver held in money loot case

JOYSAGAR, Feb 24:  A driver of Khangia tea estate has been arrested by Sivasagar Police in connection with the loot of cash in the garden. On Wednesday cash Rs. 14.5 lakh was looted from employees of the Khangia tea estate in Sivasagar, which was withdrawn from the bank for paying wages to the workers of the tea garden. Police after prelimiry investigation, suspected involvement of the garden driver, rayan Machowa (38) and booked him. Police produced him in the CJM Court, Sivasagar and the Court sent him to the police custody for one-day.
