GAON (HAIBORGAON), March 10: Based on intelligence input, Special Operation Team of gaon Police led by Superintendent of Police Sankarbrata Raimedhi on Saturday afternoon apprehended three smugglers along with 18 gecko lizards from Dimoruguri Tiniali when the smugglers were on their way to gaon town on two motorcycles.
According to police sources, the bbed smugglers have been identified as Saurav Kumar Gayan of Padumoni, Nripen Gogoi and Biplab Borah of Chapala area under Samaguri police station. The sources further added here that the seized gecko lizards were handed over to the Forest Department.
